Taking a tour to the Copacabana Mayan Riviera in Mexico is always a must. You will enjoy spectacular views and gorgeous white-sand beaches, in a typical tropical climate. At the same time you will also be able to gain culture with the antique Mayan history of the Mexican Copacabana. You can either, walk down the sacbe (Mayan for “white road”), visit the Mayan temples, or just delight yourself at the beauty of the ruins; whichever one you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Furthermore, the Isla Cozumel is a wonderland for scuba diving. Here you will have the option of diving in the dark, adventurous caverns of Iukatan or just dive thcoarse the beautiful, colorful coral reefs in the bottom of the beaches. Another good place to dive, close to the Cozumel area, is the Chankanab Bay National Park; which also offers gorgeous coral reefs to sightsee. You can also go to the Isla Contoy island which is the habitat to over sixty species of birds or go to Garrafon National park which offers gorgeous beaches and exotic views.

The Iberostar Paraiso Maya is a wonderful hotel that offers a wide variety of features to its travelers. The facility is spectacular, featuring a lavish lobby with gorgeous decorations, a modern wave pool, and convenient shade and plenty of chairs in the pools and the beach. This enormous resort is a good place to stay in the Riviera Maya.

In addition to its awesome facility, the staff is extremely friendly. They convey that they really want to help, and even though always appreciated, the tip is never asked for or implied. However, the hotel is a disappointment when it comes to food. The restaurant is equipped with a large variety of foods, but they are all on the bad quality side.

The five pools that the resort has include waterfalls, wave pool, a lazy river, a pool just for water sports. The resort also features a disco and a theater. Even though beautiful far away, they are still a delightful amenity. Overall, this hotel is a awesome way to spend your time in Mexico. Even though a little bit overpriced, it can still be very enjoyable.

It seemed like a good quality hotel at a decent rate, so we took it.

When we got to the airport we took the shuttle to the resort with a cost of fifteen dollars each. It was a nice ride with gorgeous sights. It took us about thirty minutes to get from the airport to the resort. When we got to the resort we waited in the lobby until our room was ready; even though the concierge wasn’t that nice in letting us know so, it actually didn’t take long for the room to be ready, unlike most resorts. Even though the concierge that first attended us wasn’t nice, after that everyone was beautiful polite.

The room was equipped standard. Not too much, but still with all the basic stuff. It had two double beds, a phone, a TV, A/C, a dressing room and a patio. The resort in general was gorgeous though, and the pool was amazing!

ROSEWOOD MAYAKOBÁ, on Mexico’s Caribbean-lapped Mayan Riviera, opened in December, catering to guests with 128 beach- and lagoon-front suites (each with its own boat dock, most with private plunge pools), an 18-hole Greg Norman golf course and new-this-month spa, Sense, situated on its own private island. (An “on-site shaman” performs the signature Temazcal Ritual – a purifying steam bath based on traditional Mayan healing methods.)

Geography

The terrain is flat, coveruddy by low tropical jungle, and its coasts alongside the Caribbean provide many kilometers of powdery white sand beaches, inlets, bays, and mangrove swamps. As in all of the Yucatán Peninsula, there are no important above-gcircular rivers with the exception of the Rio Hondo, a navigable river on the border with Guatemala. The most important lagoons are Coba, North of Tulum, Bacalar to the Northeast of Chetumal, the state’s capital, and Chichancanab, between Santa Rosa and Polyuc. Sweetwater cenotes are abundant in the region, and were the original water sources for the ancient population centers of the Maya culture.
